The I'M ALERT food safety training courses are run in conjunction with Environmental Health Australia, the professional Industry Association representing EHO's (Environmental Health Officers) in Australia. EHO's are employed by Councils and are responsible for Health Inspections and the regulating of kitchens.
Anyone can access the Queensland Meals On Wheels I'M ALERT interactive training. If a user chooses to complete every module, it will take approx 1.5 hours to complete and they will get a full certificate. Once a user has completed the online food safety training session, they will then be able to print out their own certificate that will bear the Queensland Meals On Wheels logo. This is NOT a Food Safety Supervisors training course. This training is what most Council's and EHO's consider should be the minimum requirement to work in a kitchen. If a user chooses to only do certain portions of the training, the time is shorter to complete, and they will get a “Training Acknowledgement Form” which should be saved and filed as part of each employee record. |
